From the Assistant Principal - Mr Simon Farrugia
Dear Families,
Welcome back to all students, parents and staff for what I’m sure will be a very busy Term 4. A special welcome to our new student, Jayden in Kindergarten. I hope that all families had an enjoyable break and found the time spent together refreshing.
In the last week of Term 3 we were able to hold our postponed Mary MacKillop Feast Day and STEAM Fair. This day saw the students engage in a liturgy for Mary MacKillop and STEAM demonstrations. Parents were also invited to attend Mathematics workshops with Mrs Claremont, to support your child’s learning at home. Students experienced an erupting volcano, spouting Cola, an animation on sustainable farming and much more, all created by themselves and their peers.
At St Paul’s we have aligned the value of determination to Saint Mary MacKillop. It is quite evident that Mary showed great strength and determination when she introduced catholic education to Australia in the 1860’s. For our students, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) requires a great deal of determination. Designing, testing, manipulating numbers and other skills are required when taking on challenging tasks.
Term 4 sees a lot of activity within schools and it is important to keep informed. Please continue to look out for important dates during this Term. A compass notification or the school Newsletter will always be used to notify the school community of pending activities such as Kinder Transition and Orientation, Year 6 Graduation, school reports, water safety programs, school camp as well as other activities.
May Term 4 be as productive as the previous three and as we approach the lead up to Christmas we ask that we are guided by Christ’s star to show kindness and compassion to all who cross our paths.
Thank you,
From the REC - Ms Catherine du Bois
Confirmation
Congratulations to all of the students who completed their Confirmation at the end of Term 3. It was a beautiful Mass and everyone participated so reverently. Please continue to pray for these students and their families as they continue to grow the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit in their own lives.

Grandfriend’s Day
There will be a liturgy/Mass to celebrate Grandfriend’s Day in Week 4 on Wednesday 1st November (details to be confirmed closer to the date). If you would like to include a photo of your child/ren with their grandparents in a photo slideshow, please email to duboisc01@dow.catholic.edu.au
There is a maximum of four photos per family.
Thank you
