First Holy Communion
Enrolments for First Holy Communion will start Sunday 27 September and close Sunday 19 October.
Forms for enrolment can be collected from Father after any weekend Mass or from the parish office Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday from 9am to 1.30pm.
Christmas Art
2025 is the 20th year of the Year 5 and Year 6 Christmas Story Art Competition and
Exhibition. This competition gives students an opportunity to explore the meaning of the Christmas story through scripture and reflect on that message through the experiences of their own lives.
Students in Year 5 and 6 are invited to participate in the competition and each school is invited to enter three artworks from Year 5 and three artworks from Year 6. The subject matter is drawn from the Year 5 and Year 6 Religious Education Curriculum and includes additional verses from the Gospel of Matthew.
Judging Criteria and Award Categories

Each year the Judging Panel looks for artworks that reflect an understanding and
interpretation of one of the scripture verses that also includes authentic imagery from
the time of Jesus.
The Judging Panel use the following Criteria:
● Originality of the artwork
● Depth of personalreflection
● Connection to the scriptures
● Consistency of style
● Standard of visual arts skills and techniques
● Appropriate surface, media and application
● Quality of presentation of artwork
The Award Categories are:
● Year 5 Highly Commended
● Year 6 Highly Commended
● Bishop’s Choice Award
● Director's Christmas Story Award
● CatholicCare Star of Hope Award
● CEO Staff Packing Room Prize
